Folks, a few things on the website and forum have been occasionally broken this week as I've rolled out some changes. Apologies for any inconvenience. For example, there was a period when nobody could log into the forum.

I've made a number of improvements to the DIY Solar Guide, most significantly to the "Calculate your System Size using PVWatts" section.
I've created a separate version of the DIY Solar Guide for everyone in the US. Since Canada and the US share the same electrical grid and the CEC/NEC codes are almost the same, the process of installing rooftop solar in most states is almost identical to Canada.
Main website has been updated to accommodate US with separate solar kits.
Website has been transitioned from .ca domain to .org

The primary goal of this cooperative is to promote DIY rooftop grid-tied solar, and to foster a community where members support each other in designing and completing their projects. For the benefit of all, it seemed logical to expand and include the US.
